so 7 days had passed so quickly and now we were waiting for our cabbie to pick us up and drop us to the international airport.
ours was the first flight from Mahe to Dubai and since protocol demands we be at the airport at least 3 hours in advance meant that we would be spending a lot of time at the departure terminal at Mahe.
checking in was a breeze. the airport is extremely small and fortunately most of the duty free shops were open. was particularly intrigued by the Rum bottle shapes.

finally boarded the flight and had a very nice breakfast! thank u emirates. i managed to eat niki breakfast as well as she was asleep most of the time.
meanwhile i couldnt but help take photos of the beautiful arid landscapes as we were approaching dubai. i think we flew over Jordan and Oman.
landed in Dubai and we were too tired to do anything. we had already explored the airport when we landed there 1 week ago, so we were not really in the mood to do any shopping or running around. we were really hungry again and had a very nice buffet meal with loads of dessert.
spent the remainder of our time near the boarding gate and we boarded the flight on time .
the flight to Bengaluru from DXB was really scary. the moment we were entered Indian skies, the aircraft was rattling and making weird noises. this continued on for at least 20 minutes and only a few passengers were actually aware of what was happening as most of us had slept off. finally arrived in Bengaluru and after immigration clearance, proceeded towards the departure terminal , got checked in and waited patiently for our Mangaluru flight!
