I am just an ordinary guy whose interests range from farming to photography and extreme music. My friends call me "Metal farmer" for obvious reasons.
The Farmer: have studied agriculture with specialization in tropical vegetables growing in coastal India. I belong to the first batch in India to be trained in "Simplified Hydroponics" i.e. the science of growing crops without soil.
I have conducted several workshops for local farmers on 'Sustainable Organic Farming' and "Integrated farm Management Practices" and our farm was nominated for "best progressive farm" in 2008 by the Karnataka govt.
Our farm was featured in "Adike Patrike" farmers magazine in 2008 and my hygienically grown vegetables have been to mega stores like SPENCERS, MORE & SPAR
The Photographer : picked up a simple Canon IXUS digital camera to first archive all my farming activities. Then gradually picked up super zoom point and shoot cameras like Canon SX 20 IS and Canon Sx 30 IS and finally got my very first DSLR, the pretty amazing Canon EOS 60D.
My photos were featured twice on www.picturesocial.com which is one of the best photography sites on the internet where amateur and professional photographers get to showcase their work. 2 of my albums were "most viewed" for the months of June and August 2011.
I do all kinds of photography but prefer Macro, Landscape, Concerts, Creative and Candid photography. I totally hate people posing for photos with their fake smiles coz its not genuine.
The Metal Head: have been a die hard Heavy Metal Addict ever since i was 5 years old way back in 1985. am a totally self taught musician and have been playing in bands since 1994. At age 18 i recorded my first e.p. called "The farmer" with me doing all the writing and performing using a simple ZOOM PS 02 palm studio. Currently i am involved in 10 'one man band' projects ranging from extreme Death Metal to acoustic instrumentals. In Desolation(Doom/Sludge), Morbid Pitbull (Shred Rock), Sticky Frog (bizarre Jazz Prog), Scavenger Of Human Sorrow (NWOBHM), The Electric Tears (Electro Acoustic), Mob Fury (Thrash), Cannibal Crops (Death/Grind), Obire Diem (NWOBHM), Bed Pan Boy (everything) and My Infinite Dreams Project ( Iron Maiden Tribute).
The only unique thing about my guitar playing style apart from being totally self taught is, i play without using a guitar pick/plectrum. i shred with my finger nails :)
...and, i like meeting new people and visiting strange places, animal lover, total nature freak, amateur body builder, complete foodie, music critic and metal album reviewer, joker, cocktail connoisseur and am very possessive of my CD collection which includes some really rare imported CDS , movies and classic British Comedies.
