Death By Chocolate.... Guaranteed!
found out this place by pure luck, as i was desultorily looking for places to rest my lazy back side after jamming with my band Dying Embrace (oh yes i play in a band as well). i seriously have no idea why i looked up wards but there it was, the huge bill board for The Chocolate Room looking down (pun intended) on me.
after i came to my senses that there is finally a CHOCOLATE room for a chokkie addict like myself, it took me 15 seconds to cross the busy Brigade Road Junction and search for the stairs that led to heaven.
Location : Brigade road junction, the building previously had another iconic food eatery called "Indiana" which closed down for obvious reasons. heart of Bangalore city
Ambience : has a SMOKING section which is basically the balcony. the place is really big and it can also accommodate a small crowd for parties and birthday celebrations. lots of light, well lit at night as well.
Resistance is Futile : chocolate pizza? chocolate burgers? toblerone shake? oreo shake? ferrero shake?? was i dreaming? NOT! a true chocoholics dream cum true! the shortest way to getting diabetes! have a look at some of the pics i clicked
the chocolate cake (not in pic ) is probably the best i have eaten till date! its not in the pic for a good reason, i just had to chomp it down before i could click the pic.
some pics of cakes which was on for delivery that day
Twist In The Tale : (its a small world after all ) the owner/prop. of the franchise Mr. Arun happens to be from my home town of Mangalore and after formally introducing ourselves it turned out that he already knew me through my blog and farming. "Metal farmer, is that you?" " i have been following your blog on organic farming but i dont see any updates nowadays",
this had to be some sort of Karma. i had to be there at that place at that time and we just had to have this conversation. it felt good on several levels. we both were from Mangalore, we both spoke the same local language, we both have a passion for organic farming and now here i am stuffing my face with the best chocolate pastries i have eaten and it felt good!
i was with my wife and another friend and we totally forgot that we had another appointment. chocolate does that to u i guess, makes u lose your senses (to an extent) so after realising that it was no good to rush in Bengaloorus traffic to reach the other place, we decided to stay back and have another round of choco goodness.
A MUST VISIT PLACE
Mr Arun can be contacted on his mobile number 9845490382 and his email nk_arun@yahoo.com for orders and other inquiries.
