    Hi again,

    I have attached a link to a picture of my pumpkin plant.

    I would like to know if the circled section is a secondary root? If I were to plant this portion in the soil, would it grow?

    the encircles portion is too premature to let me tell u if its a secondary root right now...

    however, do not try n cut it off n transplant it in the soil now... let it grow a lot bigger...

    and for pumpkins, u can cut of the long vines & transplant them in soil & it will grow provided the conditions are fav...
